Autocomplete Username and Password

Is there any way to get IE6 to prepopulate username and password fields upon
opening a logon page? Currently, the fields appear empty; but they will
allow a selection of recent choices from a dropdown list. Rather than having
to select the username from the dropdown each time, we just want one to
appear.
 
Hi,
I think this will only work if the site/page has a "Remember me" (or
similar) box to check. In those cases a cookie will identify you to the site
on future visits.
