AutoComplete date after typing the year 2004

Ok I am not a new user but cannot see another forum that
this question fits into.

Everytime I type 2004 in Word 2003 and hit enter for a
new line, the AutoText feature Auto completes this for me
and adds the month and day with some hyphens (e.g. 2004-
03-12)

Well I like most of the other AutoComplete things but
this one is a right pain and I hoped it would be fixed in
Word 2003. Has anyone worked out how to disable this one
single feature of AutoComplete or pehaps trick it into
not doing it or maybe even an add-in?

Most hopeful

It is a nuisance and cannot be fixed without throwing the baby out with the
bathwater. Ruses that work are to immediately press CTRL+Z which will cancel
the added date bits, or add a space after the year. For dates in your
template, use fields esp. the createdate field to insert dates.
