Here's a new clipboard utility that looks nice. So far has worked well for
me. I like it. http://autoclipexpress.mysite.freeserve.com/index.html

Thanks, I'll be giving it a try.

On a related note, does anyone know of a Linux-like clipboard utility for
Windows? On Linux, you select some characters with the left button, like on
Windows. Then, you just middle-click on a text field and your selection
gets pasted.

A minor correction - this has nothing to do with Linux, it is how X works.

X is the display manager used on many (most?) UNIX workstations, and,
for that matter, many other workstations (I used it under VMS, on a nice
little VAXStation all those years ago).

2.2 Mb is a quite large for such software.
CLCL is only a 176 Kb download.

Yeah, it is. Partly because the "pay for" add-on spell checker and
thesaursus are included. If you don't intend to purchase those options, the
files can be deleted and you save about a mb of space. Still much larger
than CLCL, which by the way also is a nice app.
