Auto-Update

When I ran AntiSpyware today, it auto-updated. When the updater went to
install, the pop-up window continued to stay "on top" of everything,
including the "next" and "cancel" buttons of the installer. Although this is
a minor inconvenience, many users may not know to drag the installer window.
I would be nice to be able to hide the install pop-up window so this does not
happen.

Was this a version update--i.e. to build .701? Or a definition update?

You'll be pleased to know that in beta2, the update mechanism will be
completely different--based on autoupdate or SMS within a corporate setting.

If you mean updating the definition files, moving the window will gain you
absolutely nothing. This is due to the fact that when the updater is running
all other processes stop until the update is complete.

The definition update process doesn't involve an installer with next and
cancel buttons.

I believe this thread is the first "in the wild" spotting of the automatic
upgrade to .701 that I've seen anyway.

Hi Bill
I also had the automatic update. A little window told me that a new version
was now ready. It asked me if I wanted to update I said yes, but am now
having problems with my internet connection. I have already posted about this
and also today I posted about when the computer crashes when you try to open
other applications when MSAS is running!!
