I don't think I'd try. There are some things that you won't tell you that a
change was made (no event fires).

And there's lots of changes that can occur that may not be important.

But if I really wanted to try, I'd lock the cells that should not change, and
unlock the cells that can be changed.

I'd protect the sheet to stop other changes that I didn't want to see occur
(like insertion/deletion of rows/columns).

Then I'd keep a copy of that unblemished master worksheet somewhere safe.

Then I'd use a utility developed by Myrna Larson and and Bill Manville. It does
a cell by cell comparison (A1 with A1, C19 with C19. (If rows/columns are
inserted or deleted, then the worksheets get out of sync.)

You can find it at Chip Pearson's site:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/whatsnew.htm
look for compare.xla

Depending on what you're doing, this might work too.

Save each worksheet as .csv files. These files are plain text.

You could use MSWord's compare to help find the differences in values. There
are other Text comparison programs available, too. Search google or
www.shareware.com if need one of these.
