Auto update problem

Using Microsoft antispyware beta and can not use the auto
update , it keeps saying can't connect to the internet I
have a Linksys router all other programs with auto update
have no problem updating. Any Ideas ? Thanks.

Nothing has worked in my case, any more help ?
I have ADSL with a router modem.
