Microsoft AntiSpyware Version: 1.0.615
I have a DSl connection - Auto update is enabled, but it never seems to
update automatically - i need to do it manually. Why should this be and how
can I make it automatic.

Hello Josl;

The Auto Updater work. The problem are the servers, sometimes a get the new
definitions one o 3 days later.

Next week give it a try. (Patience) ;)

Good luck

What time do you have automatic updates set to happen. Typically, updates
have been released on Thursday (or later) in the late afternoon.

Is there an administrator user logged into the machine at the time the
update is set to be retrieved?

Thanks for the reply - Is the Anti Spyware update only once a week? Ive
checked my settings which were 1pm (when I am rarely logged on) to a later
time when I am morelikely to be logged on. I think my point is that I
expected a true automatic update not a scheduled one. I think Anti Spyware
should check for updates everytime a user logs on - I cannot predetermine
when I am likely to be logged on - it varies from day to day. By the way I am
the Administrator!

The current beta has a number of limitations which aren't what you'd expect
from a new, Microsoft designed, product. I would expect many of these to go
away in beta2.

Hi josl,

FYI. This afternoon The AutoUpdater D/L de new definitions.
I sugesst to reboot after the D/L. and check the Help About, if the new D/L
don't show. Go to the File and check for updates, this make to show the new
definition in the Help About.
