Is there a way to start up my computer automatically so I can schedule a task at night and have it run while I am sleeping or away from the computer?
 
There is no way to turn on your PC auto. You can schd. a task to run anytime
your PC is on my going to

START / PROGRAMS/ Accessories / System Tools / Task Schd.
