There is no limit.
What it probably means is that you have *mixed* data.
Mixed meaning numbers and text, which could be text that looks like numbers.
If you're attempting to sort data that you believe is all numeric, but
giving you this "bad" sort, you could try to convert it all to numbers by
doing this:
Right click in a new, unused cell, and choose "Copy".
Select the data to be sorted.
Right click in the selection and choose "PasteSpecial".
Click "Add", then <OK>.
Now try your sort again.

When using the column sort function it appears to cease
after about 200 lines on a 1000 line spreadsheet.
It worked fine up to about 800 lines!
Does this function have a limit to it's capacity ?
