What is the best way to draw an AutoShape (octagon, hexagon, callout etc.)
and make sure in stays in place when using either IE or NN? Is it possible
to put it in a cell or table? Should I be using the Z-Index to move it back
or forward? I've been playing with this and trying to figure it out for the
last two days. Thanks very much!

Basically, NN doesn't support AutoShapes. As a result,
there's no perfect answer to this question.

For starters, however, choose Page Options from the Tools
menu, click the Compatibility tab, and make sure VML
Graphics and Downlevel Image File are both checked.

The Downlevel Image File option tells FrontPage to create
a GIF representation of your drawing and rig the HTML so
NN displays the GIF rather than the AutoShape drawing.

Absolute positioning is the default for AutoShape
drawings. Unfortunately, NN and IE interpret absolute
positioning commands differently. So, right-click the
AutoShape, choose AutoShape Properties, click the Layout
tab, and set Positioning Style to None.

NN and IE will now display your artwork in the same place.
This can be inline or within a table.

If by a callout, however, you mean draw informative
bubbles with lines pointing to form elements, you're
probably out of luck. Because the drawing appears as a
flat, single GIF picture in NN, it can't overlap other
content.
