Person Who Hates Mikro$oft

I have dial-up internet and in outlook express it asked if
i wanted to go online when i started or when i send a
message but now i use outlook 2003 and it thinks that i am
always connected and tries to check the pop3 server for
email and since it is disconnected it gives an error. how
do i make it so that it only checks the email when i am
connected.

I am also having problems automatically sending emails
instead of them going onto the outbox and then having me
press send and recieve.

Outlook express didn't have any of these problems but it
also didn't have a spellchecker or any of the other
features barely anyone uses but microsoft put in it so they
could charge more for it.

tools, options, mail setup, send immediately - also look at the dialup
settings in tools, email accounts, account properties.

FWIW, OE uses the spell checker from MS office programs, so installing
outlook/office adds spell check to OE.
