Auto-Select

I have this problem anytime I leave my mouse sit over (hover over) an icon or menu selection. What I mean is the mouse sitting over whatever causes that action. Say I hover over the icon on my desktop for Help for too long, Help will open up even though I didn't double-click on the icon. What do I do to have this stop? Is there something in the Control Panel I need to do
 
Open your mouse folder in the control panel, you might have "run" enabled for the
left button. Might look into the accessibility options as well.
