Hi,

my timeline starts scrolling when I try to split a soundfile. It scrolls to
the end and then stops. This takes about 2 hours...
And it is the second time today this happens.

I can't get it to stop. Pressing anywhere in the window results in a short
Not responding message. After that it recovers, but keeps contiuing
scrolling. I do not dare to restart the computer or my program, because it
jammed 3 times before this one, for other reasons, and I don't want to risk
to start all over from scratch again.

Does anyone know how to prevent or stop this, without corrupting my project?

Could this be caused, because of my project becoming too complex. It has now
2 hours of video, pictures and titles+textual comments. I am halfway putting
music in between. As last I planned on adding effects on the pictures to make
the slideshows more smoothly. Is a 2 hour project too big for Movie Maker to
handle?

My response to your previous message should
answer these questions. Actually it's best if you
remain in the same thread when following up
on an issue.

John,
I have the same exact problem as discribed above. Unfortunately I can't
find your reply to his previous message, so the discussion above is of no
help to me. Help! I have at least 4 or 5 six minute movies to put together
by Saturday and everytime I touch the green edit bar I get an auto rewind.
Can you hear me screaming? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's best if you begin a new thread when you
have a question.

Here's the previous reply...I'm not convinced
that it applies to your issue.

I think your project is definitely way too complex
and you may have issues when you try to save
it as a movie.

Also you may be reaching the limits of your
system resources. A crash or freeze could
occur if you continue to add additional
elements to this project.

You may find that you have to create several
smaller projects to get this task completed.

Also, you want to be sure your source files
are compatible with Movie Maker...the following
articles may be worth a look:
