Auto response using Rules

I am trying to set up an auto response to all e mails
addressed to a certain person. I don't want an 'Out of
Office' subject line, so want to set up a rule.

Using Rules, there are two options - reply by e mail or
reply using template. If I create a custom e mail and
leave a blank TO field, it doesn't seem to work. I have
managed to reply by sending a blank template reply using
the mail.oft template, but can't edit it.

Any suggestions?

It probably doesn't word because your administrator has blocked the automic
replying/forwarding to the Internet on the Exchange server which is the
(secure) default. Contact your administrator to verify this.
