Auto*resolution* not displaying results in OT2003

Hello.

I'm having a small but annoying little problem with the autoresolution
feature (**not the autocomplete feature**) in OT2003 under XP Pro.

It's definitely on in Options and it seems to be functioning but it
does not visually resolve the bits of text I type in the To field.

For example if I want to send an email to Joe Blow (who is in my
contacts) I would usually type in "Jo" or "Joe" or "Joe B" press tab
to get out of the TO field and then OT would resolve "Jo" into
something along the lines of "Joe Blow ([email protected])" within the text
field.

When I type in "Joe" and press tab in OT2003 it just stays "Joe" even
though if I send the mail it is going to (e-mail address removed). I need that
peace of mind the visual display gave me (not to mention when it
warned of conflicts via the Red Squiggy Of Uncertainity). I know I can
press Ctrl-K to check names but I'd like it to be automagically like
it used to be.

Any suggestions?
 
Odd. If the name is not resolved (you know, solid underlined) before you hit
the Send button, are you not prompted to resolve the name manually when you
hit the Send button?
Is autocompletion also enabled in this profile? If not, was it ever enabled?
 
I have resolution on autoresolution (groan).

I deselected the autoresolution feature in options and restarted Outlook.
Then I when back and turned it on again and restarted Outlook. Now it works.
Go figure.
