I am going on a trip and want to have a personalized
automatic response to incoming messages while I am gone.
I have tried everything except paying someone to help
me. ANY ANSWERS?

Outlook Express does not have an auto reply feature, however, you can make
one using the Message Rules.

Some things that you must consider:
Using autoreply will cause your email to reply to spam, as well as
legitimate messages. This will confirm your email address as a "good" one to
the spammers. It could also let the wrong people know that you are away and
your house is empty.
If autoreply does reply to a spam with a spoofed address, your auto reply
will automatically be returned to you. Then your auto reply will reply to
the return and on and on. This can overload your mail server. And lastly,
you must leave your computer running 24/7 with Outlook Express active, while
you are away. Many ISP's have a vacation service that you can use to have
the messages replied to with one you designate.

That said, here is how to set up the auto reply.
First, create your message using Message/New Message just like you were
creating a regular email message. Once you are finished, select File/Save As
in the message window, name the email file and save the message to a folder
on the hard drive.

Open Tools/Message Rules/Mail/New button.
Click 'For All Messages' in the top section and 'Reply with message' in the
center section. Click 'Message' in the bottom section and navigate to the
email you composed. OK your way out and your all set.
