Auto refresh of external data

How do I get the "disable auto refresh of data" option back when I open a file? I have scoured the options and customise menu and cant find it!!

I have a spreadsheet that pulls alot of data from an external SQL database. I like to work on it on a seperate PC that doesn't have a connection to the data source

On opening the file, Excel *used* to ask if I wanted to disable auto refresh (a great feature!) of datasources but at some point I have clicked the 'dont ask again' button (or equivalent) and I cant work on the sheet because it starts an endless cycle of timeing out the queries.

All help greatly appreciated

Stuckonit, on the External Data toolbar (View > Toolbars > External Data),
click the Data Range Properties button. Under Refresh control, check Refresh
data on file open, then click OK. Save and close the workbook.

You should get the "disable auto refresh of data" prompt next time you open
it.
