Auto populate or auto completion

Hello, Is there a way to turn on an auto populate or auto
completion feature? My computer was used by someone prior
to me and must have opted for "no" when asked. Thanks

tools \ internet options \ content \autocomplete
 
Do you mean select the "Content" tab?

from the internet explorer menu. Then select the "Security" tab and in the
bottom panel there are two buttons, the top one being AutoComplete click on
this and you can select which feature you want IE to remember
