I recently installed some software on my XP Pro. During installation it said
auto logon was not enabled. I clicked OK and it created another profile and
apparently enabled auto logon. Now, when I boot my machine, instead of going
to the welcome screen, I am logged on as the new use that got created. I
deleted the user, but when I reboot, I get a message about not being to log
on (of course). I click ok and go to the welcome window. Any ideas on how I
can turn off this auto logon feature?

Larry,

Type "rundll32 netplwiz.dll, ClearAutoLogon" in the RUN box. This undoes Auto-Login.

Or,

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok.
ENABLE "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option, and click Ok.
