Using Windows XP Pro with SP-2 and all the patches and TweakUi ver 2.10.00
for Windows XP with SP -1 and above.

Problem:

I select Auto Logon, save it but after a few bootups it is lost. Any way to
put "super glue" on this option?

Hi Don,

Click Start, Run and type CMD.EXE
Type the following command and press ENTER

reg query "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon"

Copy the output and post it along with your reply.

Ramesh,

I was unable to copy the output in what looked to be a dos window.

With additional exploring the Internet I found a way to maybe do the fix by
going into the UserPassword2 and changing the Auto logon from Administrator
to Don. It seems to be working. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for offering to help; it is much appreciated.

That's the way I fixed mine.

Start > Run > control userpasswords2

It seems to have worked. I've done several rebootings and all resulted in
Auto Logons.

It was the only thing that worked for me. Tweak UI didn't work for me.

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, left click "your user name" then clear the Users Must
Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and then click
OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the "user name
and password" for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Tip:

Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)

I solved my problem a few days ago by going to "Kelly's Korner." ;-)
I also added the Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel at that
time.
