I have about 10 W2K servers in a native mode 2000 domain
I need to logon automatically (with a domain user
account) then lock the concole after a re-boot.
Im thinking about using the steps in 310584 and placing a
shortcut in startup of all users with the below in the
target:
%windir%\System32\RUNDLL32.exe USER32.DLL,LockWorkStation
I have tested it and it seems to work fine. My concern is
the password is stored in plain text in the reg. Is there
a better way of approaching this. Possibly with a GPO or
other method ?
Thanks
