How do I get a program to automatically open when the computer is first turned on? Thanks for any help.

Drillan,

Check the software manuals and help files if there is any option to make the program run at startup. If not, add the registry entry manually. The registry RUN keys are explained in the following KB:

How to Modify the List of Programs that Run When You Start Windows XP

Windows Program Startup Locations:

You can also place the program shortcut to the StartMenu>Programs>Startup folder.

Put a shortcut to the program in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup
If the Startup folder isn't there, add it. If you want it to be there for
All Users put it in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
