Some moron over at microsoft decided that windows should decide to
intall a program rather then let peple control. In my case abode keeps
intalling evey time I open a window. The installation fails every time
but thew jerks over at microsoft don't seem to thin k that aht is a
problem.

How can I subvert Microsoft's attempt to screw up my computer.

Perhaps it would help if you clarified just what is going on. Are you
saying that a program from Adobe (not abode) is trying to install?
Microsoft does not write any Adobe programs nor does it decide to install
them.

What program is trying to install? What message do you get when it fails?
This program attempts to install everytime you open what kind of window?

The most commonly installed program from Adobe is the Acrobat reader that
can be used to open .pdf files. Is this what is trying to install? Do you
have a previously installed version of the Adobe reader that is trying to
update when you try to open a pdf file? If so, open the program and go to
options and configure it not to try to update automatically. You can also
configure it not to open in a web page if this is what is happening.

I suggest that you do a clean boot and then try to install this program - if
you want or need it. See this article for assistance in clean booting.
