Auto-hide taskbar

I like to have my task bar hidden until i move the mouse
over where it is supposed to be. But when i came into
work this morning it wasn't hidden. So, I went into the
properties (like i had done to hide it in the first
place) and the check box was still clicked on meaning
that it should be hidden. So i checked it off then on
again, hit Apply then OK. It still doesn't work. I need
some help asap. please email me back if you have
suggestions for me (e-mail address removed) or
(e-mail address removed). Please help, it's driving me
