Mr. X.

Hello,
I want to simulate something like the auto-hide behavior of toolbox of VS.
2008.
Do same thing (with the pin, to dock the panel to fix, and unpin to do
auto-hide).

Thanks :)

Just so Pete understands you better next time, use "duplicate" instead of
"simulate".... (And look up the words to understand the difference.)

Interesting comment. In the English-speaking part of the world simulate is
the correct word for what the OP wants to do. Most people who have English
as a second language use English more grammatically than so called
"native" English speakers.

We computer geeks (and others, I'm sure) think of "simulate" as "act like
but not actually BE." For example, a flight simulator ACTS LIKE and airplane
but isn't REALLY an airplane.

In this case, Mr. X wants the behavior of his control to BE exactly the same
as the behavior of Visual Studio's toolbox. He wants to DUPLICATE the
behavior, not SIMULATE it. If there is any question about whether English is
being used properly here, then it's most likely a distinction between
American English and British English.

Ultimately, the best word would be "copy." Remember the adage, kids: Never
use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

I forgot to add: in general I totally agree with you. However, I am one of
the natives who knows his language very well.
