I received a word document by email formatted:
1. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxx
a. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
b. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
etc. My boss made some changes and saved the document.
Somehow no. 2. changed into letter "n" and the items below
it "o", "p" etc. and then no. 3 changed itself into a no.
2. etc. When I changed "n" back to 2, it would not allow
me to correct the tabbing. The only way to get it to line
up with the way no. 1 is tabbed is with a double space. I
had to manually change "o" etc back to "a", "b", etc. so
it is a big mess. Is there anywhat to fix this section
without left justifying the entire document and starting
over? Thank you for your help!

Use the Format Painter to apply the formatting to each row at a time by
selecting the properly formatted row, clicking on the format Painter and
then selecting the row that 'should' have the same formatting applied.
