Auto Expand Property?

Does anyone know how I can change the Auto Expand Property? The reason I ask is because someone told me to change it in order to get rid of my problems. Read below if you need to know more or have a different solution

the history that is on a drop down menu when you are typing something. Sorr
I don't know what it is called but I will explain and then maybe you ca
help me. Lets say I am filling out an online form that ask for name
address, etc. When I put in the first letter of my name a drop down men
comes down with my name already there so I don't have to retype it. I wante
to know if anyone knows how I can get rid of this
 
Hmmmm... you are talking about an online form. Do you
mean a form that is being displayed in Internet Explorer?
If so, then you'll need to ask your question in the
Internet Explorer forums.

If it is an Access form, then go into design mode, right-
click the control (combo-box), choose Properties, then
find the Auto-Expand setting and change it to No.

In the design view of the table, click on the field you
want to edit, look at the lower part of the screen, click
on the "lookup tab". This is where I have my drop down
data set up. Try clearing this. You may also have to
reset the field so it is no longer a drop down. But with
no entries in the drop down field, it shouldn't matter.
