Does anyone know how to keep "Documents and settings"
folder form auto expanding every time I open explorer. I
truly hate this because 99% of the time I have to
minimize it.

First, open Explorer by right clicking on My Computer and going to Explore.
It will now open My Computer. This goes for any folder.

Also.. for your shortcut to Explorer you can just right click on the start
menu and go to explore.

OR... Just right click on your recycle bin and go to explore. THIS OPENS NO
SUBDIRECTORIES!!!

I hope my mindless babbling helps you in some way

I used two solutions for myself. Both are listed below. I never use the
Explorer line provided by Windows anymore.

To open a rooted explorer (in this case, C:\ would be the topmost listed
folder), use: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,/root,c:\

If you want the explorer to be non-rooted (listing all folders), use the
same command without the /root part. (Skip a comma too.)

Note that rooted explorers can not view webpages from the internet.
Unrooted explorers can. Try opening right-clicking on My computer,
selecting Explorer, and typing in http://cnn.com.
