Hello all,

using Outlook '03...

I'm looking for some advice on how to send an automatic e-mail every
day/week/month.

I've searched this group and have found a few ideas; none, however,
seem to fit exactly what I need.

I would like to send an e-mail to a group (many people, one address)
on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

This message is a very basic reminder in text (no attachments).

I need this message to execute whether I open Outlook or whether I'm
on the beach somewhere.

The most apparent answer appears to be a recurring Task. I don't want
it to get complicated, however. I don't want individuals to have to
perform any action when they receive the e-mail; they'll freak-out.

What I'd like most is a simple message that posts at a particular time
through e-mail. It sounds so simple, yet doesn't appear to be.

Thoughts?

Please try our email scheduler (http://www.repeatmail.com) which will allow
you to send multiple individual emails, html or plain text, with
attachments, either as a one-off or regularly at a specified time and
interval. The recipients list can be drawn from your Outlook Contacts, a
plain text file,database or spreadsheet. It also allows you to specify the
interval between each send so as to avoid triggering any spam limits on your
account. Outlook is not needed to send. Your machine needs to be switched
on, but you don't even have to be logged in.

Thanks John, but I'm looking for an Outlook option, nothing I need to

Only required because above poster used QUOTED-PRINTABLE format.
When posting to newsgroups, do NOT use quoted-printable format.
* Not all NNTP clients handle quoted-printable format.
- Some users still use console-mode (non-GUI) NNTP clients.
- The long lines may not wrap properly.
- Scrolling is needed if the long line does not get wrapped.
- The long line may get truncated at the window's width.
- Quoted-printable format uses special character sequences for
logical formatting. View the raw source of your post. Text-
only clients may show that encoding when viewing your post.
* Quoting levels get mangled, especially for multiple replies.
* In replies, there is no clear delineation of content.
- Cannot tell what content is from the original poster and
what is from the respondent.
- Makes impossible to determine who said what when a reply
inserts comments inline with the quoted content.

Then you are out of luck. You could wander over to
www.outlookcode.com and see if an Outlook developer happens to know of
some VBA code (for free) that you could use but, alas, that still
would not meet your requirement that the functionality be part of
Outlook rather than something you have to add.
