How can I have the auto dial function use my internet broadband connection
instead of the modem to place a call from within access. It works fine with a
modem but I would prefer it use my DSL connection since I am never connected
to the modem

If you need to dial a phone number you need a modem. Period.
 
If you are going to post the same question to multiple newsgroups, do it at
the same time so that the followups will show up on each. I've answered this
question twice and two others have answered the question in other newsgroup
sections.

Don't sit and post them individually as that will just start to irritate
those who are out to help you and others.
