Auto dateing

I print out lables to put on each employees time card. On each lable I put there Name, employees number, and pay period.
So my question is, is there away to enter in the pay period only once and have it fill in each label?

How are you preparing these lables? Are you using a mail
merge or are you opening last pay periods document and
replacing the date on each lable individually?

There are a variety of ways to type the date once rather
than for each lable. Tell us you current process and we
can go from there.

As of now I am opening the last pay periods document and replacing the date on each label. If there is a better or more effecient way to do this, I am open for suggestions.

This is a simple mail merge to mailing labels. Create a table in Word, with
at least two columns. In the top row, label the columns with the employees'
name and pay number. Fill that information down the column for each
employee. Save the document and you have a data file.
Create a label merge document using this data file and add your date to the
label. Merge to a new document and you have a set of labels. Next pay
period, change the date in your merge document and merge again. See

There are, but it is really easy to use find an replace and continue doing
busines "The fashioned way."

Open your document and select Edit>Replace
Type the old date in the find what field
Type the new date in the replace with field and select replace all

Other methods would require some retooling but inclue using fields or
setting up a data source and using mail merge to create your periodic
payroll lables.
