Hello,

I am trying to get the auto coplete funtion to work on my
system. I need to get the Addresses to complete
themselves before I type in the entire name of the person
receiving the email. So when I type jose it would
automatically find and put (e-mail address removed) in the To:
portion of the email.

This was an otion in some earlier versions of Outlook. I
am not positive if it even included in 02. I have done
alot of reading and cannot find any info on this one way
or the other. If anyone knows please help.

thanks,

tom

OK, I saw an "02" buried in your message...that means you're using
Outlook 2002, right? :-) If so, you are using the first version of
Outlook that actually does include an AutoComplete feature. However, it
only works off of addresses you've typed into a new mail message; it
doesn't automatically find names in your contacts that match what you
typed. To force a resolution to your contacts list, start typing in an
address or name and then press CTRL-K. If there are multiple matches,
it will bring up a dialog box containing a list and ask you to choose
one. It should then save this for future use, and if you start typing
in that name or address next time, it should pop up a match
automatically (or a list of possible matches).
