auto complete stopped working!

My auto complete has suddenly stopped working its not remembering anything I
enter into forms or drop down menus.

Doesn't have a problem remembering user names and passwords.

I have all the appropriate boxes checked in the respective browsers.
Doesn't work in IE7, Firefox or Avant browsers, hence I think its a problem
with xp.

I set up a new user account in case the old one was corrupt to no avail.

Is it checked in Internet options, content tab under autocomplete?
