Hi there, I'm looking for a way to get an on-line
PowerPoint presentation to run all the way through.
I have tried several things but nothing works.
I tried exporting to the HTML version and by using .pps'
but neither of those play automaticaly.
Am I missing a command or is this even possible.

I'll clairify, I want to put a PowerPoint presentation on
the web but I want it to start automatically and go all
the way through all the slides.

-Is this possible?
-How?

Without knowing the version of PowerPoint your using it is hard to give a direct
answer. here are a couple of places you can start reading.

Thanks a lot for the help Michael,
will that change make the presentation run all the way
through?

The version on the properties is 9.0.2716

Thanks for getting back to us with your success.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for.
Instead, as you've discovered, it requires making changes to the HTML files
after they have be saved from PowerPoint..

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality out-of-the-box (not require
manually making changes after-the-fact), don't forget to send your feedback
(in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)

It works perfectly in Internet Explorer. I only had to
take out one line to make it work. I was getting an error
for the ClearMedia(); code so I took it out and it works
great.
Is there a way to make it work now in Netscape?

Which solution did you use? You still have not told us which version of
PowerPoint your using. AFAIK, both the solutions work in Netscape.

Also, Make sure that when you publish, under Web Options, it specifies
"Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, Netscape Navigator 4.0, or later"
