Auto Adding URLs To Favorites

I have been using Internet Explorer 6 for quite sometime now. It is my
default browser. Since last 3-4 days, I find that new URLs get added to the
Favorites folder automatically (which I delete permanently as soon as I see
them in the 'Favorites' menu). It does not happen everyday. And if my memory
serves me right, I don't think I have ever visited those URLs anytime in my
life unless I have been forced to do so through pop-up windows!! Can this
irritating & nagging problem be sorted out in any way?

See: "Recommended Minimal Security Settings" and you should download and run
either Ad-aware or Spybot S&D (or both) occasionally.

Have you been to Windows Update recently to look for security updates?
