My company really wants to lock down internet access in our department,
and I'm researching.
The best way that I THINK I've found it create a new ratings system
file, apply it and have it deny almost everything. Then add the sites
that we allow (about 50 or so) to the Approved Sites tab.
Well, that's great, but I have to do this on 30+ computers. Not to
mention if we have to add one in the future, I'll have to go BACK to
all 30+ users and do it all over again.
Is there a place where windows stores this information? Some kind of
file? I would doubt it would be stored unencrypted but... Or,
alternatively, can anyone think of a way to automatically add a list of
sites in, without having ot type in the exact same URLs on all of our
machines?
Thanks in advance for any and all pointers to information or read-made
solutions. Not above buying a third party product if necessary, or
creating one in VB6 or VB.Net 2003...
