Hello All,
I have a question that I'm hoping someone can help to explain it to me.
In Windows 2000 AD domain, if we want to setup a DHCP server,
we have to authorize it in the enterprise.
Then, when we start the DHCP service on the DHCP server itself, it contacts
a Domain Controller to verify the authorization,
and start the service if it was authorized in AD.
My questions are:
1. Does the authorization cached in DHCP server?
2. If it cached, what is the expiration time and can we modify it?
3. What happen if the REMOTE DHCP server could not contact any Domain
Controller (WAN is downed) when it reboot?
Will the DHCP service start?
Thanks for your help,
Peter Nguyen
