How do you change the default so I don't have to change
each doc in the future?

[[Change the author name for new documents
The author name is used for such features as file properties, tracked
changes, and comments.

1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the User Information
tab.
2. In the Name box, type a name.
The name you type appears in the Author box on the Summary tab (File menu,
Properties command) each time you create a new file

To change the author name for the active file only, click Properties on the
File menu, click the Summary tab, and then type a new name in the Author
