Hi, I was looking into getting an Authenticode certificate for the
first time, so that we can sign our assemblies and installers etc. I
looked at a few and saw a wide range of prices;
Comodo, $179 http://www.instantssl.com/code-signing/
Thwate (via a referrer link) $199
https://www.t-refer.com/core/proces...&referral-enrollment.referrer-code=CAINDIGO-1
Thwate (without a referrer link) $299 (!!whats that all about?)
https://www.thawte.com/ssl-digital-certificates/code-signing/index.html?click=DoYouNeedTo-SecureCode
Verisign $499 http://www.verisign.com/
Assuming equal customer service and time taken to issue a certificate,
what differences should I be looking for?
I'm assuming I could buy any of the above and use it to sign a .NET
exe or MSI installer so that Vista users wouldn't be told that we're
an unknown source.
Any experiences or advice please.
Thanks
