Hi!

I have Windows 2000 AD native mode with 2 DCs Server01 have FSMO roles and
the other (Server02) have Exchange 5.5. Both of them uses Active Directory
Integrated DNS. I have one more Server running with Windows 2003 Server
(with ISA Server 2000). I just notice that when I shutdown Server02 (with
exchange 5.5), and some users accessing the internet, users are unable to
logon to the internet eventhough Server01 is running. I assume that Server01
authenticates users that have internet access and pass thru ISA Server. What
seems to be the problem on my configuration?

Hi

According to you Server1 and 2 are both Dcs and Dns servers right?

You should define primary Dns server on clients (including the server that
is running ISA server) to Server1 and secondary to Server2.

Server1 and 2 are both DC and has DNS Service.

I have set to use DHCP on my clients to use these DNS except the ISA Server
which uses Static IP. I have seen that the primary DNS is already down so
I've changed it to use Server 1 as primary and Server 2 as secondary. I'll
simulate again if authentication problem will still occur and will post on
this thread some updates.
