Is it Ok to give Authenticated users rights to "access
from network" and "access locally" instead of the USERS
group. I want to remove the users group. Thanks you.

Hi Barb.

I believe that you can do that [I was hoping someone from MS was going to
post a more definitive answer]. Just document the changes and time in case
some problems pop up. I have not been able to test it out in all situations
such as NT trusts or Windows 98 clients. The authenticated users group is
does not have anonymous or guest account, so any guest network access will
fail which is a good thing for most situations. See the links below that you
may find helpful. --- Steve
