Some users report that MSAS detects Aurora but cant remove it.
We have not heard anything about scans in safe mode and succesful
removals.

Maybe you can try ? Start in safe mode and choose fullscan with all
options checked.

the only "fix" is software that the firm propogating
aurora offers, mypctuneup.

Aurora is a new form of computer trespass I call "virad,"
whichis a cross between adware and virus. Like a virus, it
cannot be controlled or removed when desired. It is
stealthy. It repropogates. allegedly, I consented to it
being downloaded, but that's dubious or it was nefariously
presented. I am almost certain I contracted it when my
daughter downloaded itunes. if I can ever prove that, I
will boycott apple.
