Cannot get audio on playback when using S-video cable on
my Sony Mini DV Camcorder. Am I using the wrong cable or
do I need another one with the S=video?

The S-video cable does not carry audio, just video. You need to take audio
out separately from your camcorder.

Hello there,

I think you will find that S-Video is Video only, there is no audio....I
remember several years back it took me ages to discover that the manual was
badly worded. Your camera should have some sort of audio out...maybe an
earphone socket. You should run a lead from that to the Line-In socket of your
sound card and then in Movie Maker make sure that the Audio Source is properly
set.
