I tried to put some clips in that I got from my digital camera in, but the audio goes twice as fast as the video... Has anyone got any suggestions? I'm using Movie Maker 2... and the file I tried to use is a MPG file..

I thought I might add that the audio is normal when I "preview" the clip in Movie Maker... It's only when I put it into my storyboard that the audio goes twice as fast...

Yes we have seen this with some versions of WinDVD installed. Do you have
that installed?

If so, see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;814837

If you don't want to upgrade your version of WinDVD, although it's not
supported, you should also be able to fix it by renaming a couple of files.
In your WinDVD program directory you should see the two files iviaudio.ax &
ivivideo.ax, rename them to something like _iviaudio.ax & _ivideo.ax. Do
your stuff in MovieMaker and when you want to go back to WinDVD rename those
two files back again.

Hi There,

If you need to rename a codec then you can use a program I wrote
specifically for that purpose. It will present you with a list of codec's
that MAY be the problem. It then gives you the option of renaming them (the
program chooses the name) and after you try Movie Maker you run the program
again and rename the codec's...the program takes care of names used and
locations....all you do is pick which ones are to be renamed.
