Audio timeline issue

Hi,

When I capture footage (via firewire) from my camcorder (Sony DCR-TRV19E)
the audio on the raw avi file that's produced seems fine, but as soon as I
drag it onto the timeline the audio seems to inherit a nasty tinniness to it.

According to the properties of the Video Clips the audio is

Bitrate 1024kbps
2 Channels
Sample Rate 32Khz
Sample Size is 16

but the exported timeline properties are different. is it possible to change
the audio properties on the timeline?

They are normally the same, so that seems to be where your problem lies.
Which of the properties have changed? And to what?

I'm having the same issue as Webologist.

I have been through the settings in MM but haven't found any settings that
affect the quality of the output sound. Both my original clip and timeline
audio have the same specs as below, but the original plays clear while the
timeline (and any movie that I compile based on the timeline) has the tinny
sound...

At the moment I'm running Windows XP SP1 with MM v2.0.3312.0. Has anyone
running XP SP2 and MM v2.1 had a problem like this? Is this a bug with 2.0
or could it be a file format issue?

Thanks,
Mark
