audio problems

I am pretty new to this. I have used MM2 a few weeks ago to capture video from my new camera. I had no problems in the beginning. Now when I play back the clips there is no audio. When I capture the video you can hear the audio perfectly but it's not there when I play it back. Help.

I had the same problem. I beleive it is something to do with Analog sound being 12-bit and Digital sound being 16-bit. I now have a Digital Camcorder that can convert Analog signals but I have not tried it yet so I don,t know if it resolves this problem. However I hope this gives you a starting point to work from. I assume you are capturing the video by using a firewire connection to your
computer... the audio is automatically passed along with the video with such
a connection.

You can test your camera/firewire connection by trying the WinDV utility....
