Audio Problems

I have run the audio wizard and my mic and phones work fine, but when I try to start an audio conversation, MSN Messanger freezes and the CPU runs at 100%. I am running XP Home.

Any help would be appreciated.

try unintall & re-install messenger . MSN 6.1 http://messenger.msn.com .Also , you need to clear your temporary files, browser history & SSL cache periodically . If you're behind a firewall or using NAT(router/hub) ports needs to be configured.
ports - 1863 tcp for chat
- 5004-65535 udp for audio
- 6891-6900 for files transfers
 
Click "start
click "control panel
double click "network connections
right click on Local area connection, then go to "properties
uncheck "QoS Packet Scheduler
Restart compute
Then try messenger
