I'm guessing this is a Samsung still
camera? What is the model number?

What is the format of the video file?

How did you download the file?

that often happens if you are using a USB connection.... Movie Maker is made
to work with firewire connections with digital camcorders... mini-DV and
digital8 types.

Christy,

After spending several hours on this issue earlier today, it appears the
propblem is Windows Movie Maker. I "chatted" with HP technical support after
visiting several web sites and they suggested that I use Sonic to capture the
video, instead of Movie Maker. Once I switched, it worked fine and I
captured about 4 hours of video and audio.

What is Sonic?

Gary,

Sonic is another piece of software that was included with my HP Media Center
Computer. You can learn more about the company at www.sonic.com

I was able to capture both the audio and the video from my VCR using the
Sonic platform. With Movie Maker, I was only able to capture the
video....the sound wouldn't come over.
