Audio Problems

I am creating a movie with separate audio track. At the 4min 26sec mark of
the movie, sound stops... it doesn't matter if I use a mp3 or wave file as
the audio and it still stops after deleting the track and trying anyther
sound file altogether. It's as if MovieMaker shuts the audio down at this
point and I can't see why. If I skip ahead of this fail point, sometimes
audio returns, sometimes not. I HATE this problem as it's causing me major
delay in getting the movie completed with audio intact. HELP ANYONE! !

what happens if you put the audio file only in a project... with no other
clips? Does it still stop at that point?

I have exactly the same problem, except at the 25min 16s point. The audio
file plays, if I jump over the section and play from the scene after, no
problems, but the audio won't run continuously?

I had this problem with a specific MPG. The problem seemed to be that the
'system' detected some weird 'staticy' music as noise, and assumed it had
stopped. I got around it by cutting the .mpg file in two, and attaching each
bit separately to the video.
