Pradeep Kumar

I use a SIP phone (X-Lite) to communicate sometimes with
friends in different countries and in my own (India).
Most of them tell me that there is a lot of static and a
constant hiss from my end, and when I speak to them, I
can hear my voice coming back to me after a 2-3 second
delay. Could you please tell me:

1. How to elimiate the static and hiss on my audio
configurations.
2. How do I stop my voice coming back to me.

Sincerely,

Pradeep

This isn't really an XP problem, but what you need is
1. An increase in gain on the phone output signal. An audio compressor can
also have good results here.
2. A Noise Gate. This closes down the input between spoken words, and will
also mask the satellite bounce echo.
There's plenty to read up on here:

Hope this helps.
